Experience Virginia’s culinary and heritage treasures only 25 miles from DC in Loudoun County, DC’s Wine Country®.  Loudoun offers gracious horse country, scenic byways, vineyards and spectacular vistas and charming towns and villages steeped in history.  Tour Historic Morven Park, home of World War I-era Virginia Governor Westmoreland Davis, which recently underwent four years of extensive restoration.  This park features artifacts collected by Governor Davis from his trips around the world, including 15th century Persian tapestries and a Tiffany lamp. Also tour the 19th century collection of more than 50 restored horse-drawn carriages on the property. Then experience one of Loudoun’s most scenic wineries, Sunset Hills Vineyard, set in a meticulously restored 130-year-old barn with two story decks and panoramic mountain views. Enjoy a tour and tasting of their award-winning wines, the perfect ending to your visit to DC’s Wine Country®.
