American Wars & Haunted Stores Tour
Friday, Jan. 15, 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Journey into Prince William County, Manassas Virginia, a region explored by many visitors including past and present U.S. Presidents. Our exploration begins at the National Museum of the Marine Corps. This exciting museum lets you look at the wide range of American wars through the eyes of the Marines. The state of the art facility houses giant tanks and fighter jets, as well as frigid temperatures in the Cold War exhibit room as well as a replicated tropical climate in the Vietnam War era. Try your hands at the reproduced boot camp experience!
No trip to this area would be complete without a chance to browse or buy apparel at Potomac Mills. This one-mile enclosed mall offers more than 200 name brand and premium outlet stores including Neiman Marcus Last Call, Timberland, Brooks Brothers, Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, NIKE and Nordstrom Rack.
Historic Occoquan is a definite must-see before concluding your visit. This nearly 300 year old grist mill town sits in a serene setting along the Occoquan River once sailed by Captain John Smith. This town now houses more than 100 specialty shops and restaurants, many of them known for ghost occurrences (some retail space formerly housed the town’s funeral parlor)!
