Market YOUR Place at Marketplace

The BIG business of Marketplace has begun in Grapevine!


Final Checklist :
How can you make Marketplace the most profitable show you attend? Check out our Final Check List!

Volunteering:
Break away from the herd and volunteer.  Volunteers are still needed at Resource Central and the Orientation Center.  Stop by the centers on-site and offer your time and receive the benefits of volunteering at Marketplace.

Foundation Events :
You may purchase tickets for the ABA Foundation Wine Trail or Afterglow at Marketplace. (NOTE: Wine Trail participants need to register prior to the 1:00 PM departure on Saturday, Jan. 27.)

Sightseeing Tours :
Sightseeing tours are currently filled. (NOTE: Sunday Sightseeing participants need to pick up their sightseeing tickets from the Host City Booth prior to 11:00 AM on Sunday, Jan. 28. Any tickets not picked up will be given to delegates on the waiting list. Wednesday Sightseeing partcipants need to pick up their sightseeing tickets by 5:00 PM on Tuesday.)

Dress Code:
Marketplace Business Function - Business attire required (Jeans are not permitted in the exhibit hall)
Evening Events - Casual (Shorts and flip-flops are welcome at the Thursday night beach party)

Housing :
Contact the hotel directly for any housing reservation changes or cancellations.  (NOTE:  If you change hotels you will lose your deposit.  Confirm all fees before you make housing changes.)

Airport Transportation:
Complimentary airport shuttle service between DFW and Love Field Airports and ABA Hotels is offered on the following schedule:

Friday, Jan. 26
10:00 am – 10:00 pm

Saturday, Jan. 27
10:00 am – 10:00 pm

Friday, Feb. 2
5:30 am – 12:30 pm*

*Departures from all ABA hotels every 30 minutes on the hour and half hour.

The Hyatt Regency DFW provides complimentary transportation to and from the airport terminals at DFW Airport.  After picking up your luggage at Baggage Claim, use the Hotel Courtesy Phone located near the baggage claim area and dial the number listed for Hyatt Regency DFW (153 or 173).  Please provide them your name, location and the number of people in your party.  Proceed to the lower level curbside and look for the gray sign that states "Courtesy Vans Only".

For airport transportation during non-scheduled times above, use the shuttle coupon for discounted fare.

Marketplace Transportation:
Complimentary shuttle service will be provided between host hotels and all Marketplace events.

Appointment-Taking Buyers :
Information = Quality Appointments - The Resource Central Subcommittee wants to make your appointments successful and productive at Marketplace. It is not too late to provide us with the materials Marketplace Sellers need to research your company so that your return on investment is higher.

Providing your company information in the ABA Marketplace Resource Central - Your Office Space at Marketplace, sponsored by New York State, allows more productive, targeted business opportunities in your 7-minute appointments. 

Please bring with you if you have not sent them in to date:

  • Tour Catalogs
  • Flyers
  • Brochures
  • Trends Survey (which will be in your registration packet so you can complete it at Marketplace)

Submit something for the library and you will be eligible for the $500 gift card drawing to Prime Outlets.  See Resource Central for details.

Manual Scheduling:
Manual scheduling, including requests for additional appointments and requests for cancellations, will open again at the start of Marketplace on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 10:00 CST. Requests made from January 27 thru the end of the show will be delivered to buyer delegates at their booths.  

Name Changes:
If you need to change the name of your company's delegate for Marketplace, please bring the name change request on letterhead to Marketplace.  All name changes will be done on-site.

Any additional dietary requests should now be made on-site.

Name Additions:
If you need to add additional delegates or register for Marketplace, including day passes, please register on-site.

Cancellations:
If your company needs to cancel delegate(s) please fax a cancellation to 202-842-0850 or e-mail us at meetingsdept@buses.org.  Once your cancellation has been processed you will not have access to your Passport and appointment list.  Your appointments will be notified by ABA.
